Heavyweight, durable paper mulch holds up to tough field conditions for the whole growing season. Decomposes over time, adding organic matter to the soil. Effectively suppresses weeds, similar to plastic mulch, but with a smaller environmental impact. Strong enough to apply with a mulch layer. Edges of paper mulch tend to break down prematurely because of consistent contact with soil moisture. Cover the edges with fresh soil periodically throughout growing season for best results.
