Margold preserves the look and flavor of the red-streaked yellow heirlooms like Striped German, while improving upon resistance to disease and fruit defects. Very soft flesh has excellent, sweet flavor and meaty texture. Works well following Ginfiz, with more vigorous plants for a sustained harvest. Leaf mold resistance is an added benefit for indoor growers. 7–10 oz. fruit. NOTE: Margold requires a minimum of 13 hours of daylight, starting at emergence. | CULTURE | Tomatoes thrive in a tunnel or greenhouse environment, which increases your control over fruit quality and extends the harvest season, both early and late. Growing info is similar to field tomatoes, but transplants are typically started earlier and may need additional development time (6–7 weeks) and supplemental lighting to maintain strong seedlings. |
